On a sunny Sunday morning we all headed off to Clanfield FC, to meet our League runner up team Middleton Cheney in the Witney & District 2016/2017 U14 Cup Final.
After having a great 2016/2017 season the team was full of concentration, determination, and with an air of slightly relaxed confidence to undergo probably the team's biggest individual team challenge in it's life history of 8 seasons.
The team started off well in the first half with James Lifford getting on the score sheet first, shortly followed by Korben Haden to take us into a 2-0 lead at half time.
As expected the Middleton Cheney team came out strongly, and continued to put pressure on our midfield and defence, but each time they pushed on, the Bloxham boys just dug in and cleared the ball up field and utilised the pace of our forwards.
The game finished with Bloxham 2-0 winners to great delight of the team & the travelling supporters!
